It really isn't fair for Bob. He could've been completely content to stay in the Rockman Universe forever. He wasn't causing trouble; in fact, he was helping to keep the peace with Rock Man. He was a benefit to society. If the Author had just left him alone, he could've been happy. So, really, everything that happens after this point, up to and including Bob's final attack, is all the Author's fault. I think this goes a long way toward making Bob a sympathetic character. Not all of my stupid emails came from AOL acccounts, but enough that it couldn't be a coincidence.
