The present alternates desperately don't want to get their memories wiped, and they're not above using confusing temporal mechanics to get their way, even if it causes a few brain bleeds. By the way, in case it's not clear, Far Future Alternate Bass is sabotaging the future alternates' time machine so it will send them to the time period of the fifth Megaman game, so they'll be forced to fulfill their destiny and stop Bob.
