Clearly a character with special effects must be pretty important to the comic. I mean, you wouldn't waste good special effects like that one some stupid secondary character, would you? And Bob must be pretty important, considering not only does he have a lens flare, but he's also got the Six Million Dollar Man sound effect! (Not to mention the Bun-bun switch-blade sound effect from Sluggy Freelance.) I like how Bob actually put his blaster away (in the first panel), just so he could whip it out with the special effects.
