Since there was a Halloween special, it only made sense to me that I'd have a Christmas special too. By the time I realized it might not be very PC to celebrate a Christian holiday when I have many readers from different cultures and religions, it had already become a tradition. So, I guess you can add me to the list of oblivious ethnocentric Americans. Some readers were initially confused by the girl standing next to Dr. Light/Santa. I thought it was obvious that it was Roll, but given the number of recolors already in the comic, I can see how some people might think it was a new character. Oh, and in case you didn't catch it, Dr. Light's line here harkens back to his line from the Halloween Special. And, eventually, Dr. Light made good on his threat.
