Of course, what the Author's really doing is forcing Mega Man to advance the plot (and continue to delay the revelation of the imposters' identities) by having him go after the other imposter. It's actually a little too blatant an action, but since the Author was already there, I might as well make use of him. You just have to be careful not to use an Author character too much. After all, it's a bit like hammering in a nail with a sledgehammer; it gets the job down, but it ruins the project. Nevertheless, let this be an important lesson to all of you. The Author can hear your thoughts, so be sure to think only happy thoughts, or he might wish you into the cornfield.
