Once again, I point out that once you know who these imposters are, these comics really do make more sense. Well, at least as much sense as any of my comics ever do. Anyway, you might note that the Proto Man imposter isn't even attempting to pretend he's Proto Man. No, he's pretty content to be an imposter and blow shit up. Clearly I already had his personality more or less nailed down. You might also note that Proto Man's scarf is oddly angled in today's comic. It's a result of the way that sprite was created. As I think I've mentioned before, that particular pointing sprite was created using sprites of Proto Man throwing his shield to Mega Man after they've battled in Megaman 7. Well, in those sprites, he's (obviously) shieldless, and his scarf is hanging out. So what I did was take part of a shielded sprite and pasted the shieldless sprite directly over it, giving it the impression that Proto Man still has his shield. It's not the way I could create such a sprite today, but I've learned a lot about spriting since then.
