Back in the Future | Impending Identity Crisis |

If you could travel back in time, do you think you'd like to meet yourself? Aside from the paradox problems of not remembering meeting yourself before, I think it would be pretty weird to see yourself in person. I don't know about you, but I feel kind of weird just watching myself on video; can you imagine meeting yourself in person, seeing how you really look, act, and sound to everyone else? And what would your past self might think of you today? Would the you of ten years ago be pleased with the way things turned out? Hell, if I went back in time ten years and told that college student me that I'd end up spending years working on an online comic, or that I'd end up married to a Canadian... well, I'm not sure that guy would believe it. As for poor X up there, I suppose it would be even weirder to go back in time and see yourself being built. Though, since that would first require you to be a robot, you'd probably have the weird thing already covered. |
